Personalized, one-on-one support through early recovery and beyond.
My coaching approach is candid, collaborative and backed by over thirty years of experience.
Many people I work with recognize that their substance use has become a problem, yet still hope they can control or moderate it. When those efforts fall short, coaching can be a powerful clear concise way to explore both the challenges and the real possibilities of creating a life without drugs or alcohol.

I draw on more than 31 years of lived recovery and professional experience to share what works—and what doesn’t. Together, we identify and dismantle limiting belief systems that hold you back, replacing them with insight, clarity, and practical action. Who you are today does not limit who you can become. Real change requires honesty, humility, willingness, and commitment. Coaching offers inspiration and structure to support this evolutionary process.

Whether you’re curious about sobriety or already in recovery, we work together to develop a realistic, individualized strategy that supports your overall well-being. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Your plan is shaped by your history, experiences, belief systems, successes, and perceived failures. By deconstructing personal narratives, new insights emerge—clarifying what has kept you stuck and what will help you rebuild a meaningful, sustainable life.

Coaching sessions typically take place once a week for one hour or more if needed and are available in-person, by phone, or via video conference, with check-ins during the week as needed. Initial coaching engagements usually last two to three months, though the time frame may be longer or shorter depending on your needs.
In our work together, we review your life, complete a thoughtful assessment, and develop a clear, actionable recovery strategy. The process is straightforward—discipline and commitment are essential, as they are with any meaningful goal. The methods I use are time-tested, practical, and rooted in principles that support lasting, whole-life recovery.

Working with a therapist can make a tremendous difference. And a coach can work in conjunction with a therapist as the process of uncovering, discovering and discarding negative belief systems is explored. Not all therapist, although qualified have a deep or personal understanding of addiction which I believe is essential for a sober coach. Experience matters. One of the additional advantages of working with a coach is the availability to connect quickly to communicate challenges or triggering events in real time instead of sitting on those feelings until your next appointment. The power to connect, re-frame and create solutions as its happening can sometimes make all the difference in remaining sober or relapsing.

Being in a relationship with someone struggling with addiction can be exhausting, stressful, and emotionally overwhelming. Families often carry fear, confusion, anger, and deep concern—sometimes all at once. Developing a clearer understanding of addiction and recovery is essential not only for the healing of the individual but also for the emotional well-being, stability, and physical safety of the family as a whole. To facilitate lasting change and stronger, healthier relationships, I also offer Family Coaching for…
Partners, spouses, and significant others of individuals struggling with substance use
Parents of adolescents or adult children dealing with addiction
Adult children concerned about a parent’s substance use
Families navigating early recovery or repeated relapse
Families preparing for or recovering from treatment, intervention, or major transition
Anyone who feels stuck in cycles of fear, conflict, enabling, or emotional exhaustion and wants healthier ways of relating
Family coaching provides a space to demystify the recovery process and raise awareness of family dynamics that may no longer be serving anyone. These patterns are often long-standing and, in some cases, have existed for generations. This work is not about blame or fault—it is about awareness. Once awareness is present, change becomes possible.
Together, we identify unhealthy dynamics, examine long-held belief systems, and establish new boundaries and agreements that support recovery. The goal is to create patterns of interaction grounded in mutual respect, compassion, honesty, accountability, and care for everyone involved. Through this process, families often experience relief, renewed connection, and a stronger foundation for the future.
“You do not need everyone in the family to participate for this work to be effective. Even one person making meaningful changes can shift the entire system.”
